Document, Document, Document!
Often times the most important evidence a court considers when deciding important matters in your case is your testimony. It often takes several months or in some cases years before the evidence will be heard. It is important that you keep detailed records and notes of what occurs. It is a good idea to keep a journal or log where you can document the times, dates and details of things that occur in your case. While journals themselves may not be admissible as evidence, they can help you remember small, but important details you could easily forget when it is your time to testify. Photographs, text messages, phone records, and emails can also be beneficial in specific cases. It is recommended that you consult with your attorney, to determine what evidence is important to your case, and how it is best used in your case.
Higginbottom Law P.C. can help answer your questions and work with you to develop the best strategy for your case. Your initial consultation is free and gives you the opportunity to connect directly with an attorney.
